FIRST EDITION stated. Beneath Tropic Seas. A Record of Diving among the Coral Reefs of Haiti, by William Beebe, 1928, Putnam’s, New York. Very early book on marine life on coral reefs by the famed Director of the Department of Zoology of the New York Zoological Society. Floyd’s son David was later to gain fame as a member of the musical group Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. This 95-year-old book is in good condition. Prior owners name in ink inside front cover. A spectacular book with excellent photos, in a laser copy dust jacket in protective sleeve, minor tears and loss at top of the jacket spine.
