Bidding Instructions: 2026 Diving Into History Auction

Welcome to the 2026 Diving Into History + More auction! To ensure you are ready for the live event on Saturday, May 30th, please review the following guide to registering and participating.

 

Getting Started: Returning Bidders

If you have bid with us directly before:

• Click Here to go directly to the auction page. 

• Log In: Access your account to ensure you are ready for the auction.

• Update Profile: Verify that your email, shipping address, and password are current.

• Credit Card: Ensure a valid credit card is on file to authorize your bidding.

• Important Note: Accounts from third-party sites (LiveAuctioneers, BidSquare, or Invaluable) do not transfer. To benefit from our lowest buyer’s premium, you must create a unique account directly on this website.

New Bidders: Create an Account

1. View Catalog: Click any "View Catalog" button to browse the auction.

2. Register: Click "Login" at the top right of the page. In the pop-up window, select "Not Registered? Click Here" at the bottom.

3. Secure Signup: Follow the prompts to enter your information. Your data is encrypted and will never be shared.

How to Bid

Once logged in, you have two ways to participate:

• Absentee Bidding (Now): You may place "pre-bids" on any lot immediately.

• Live Bidding (May 30th): The auction goes live at 10:00 AM CST. Log in shortly before the start time, and a live bidding portal window will appear.

Auction Pace: We begin with Lot #1 and move at a pace of approximately one minute per lot. With a wide variety of items, the auction is expected to last over four hours.

Invoices & Payment

• Notification: Successful bidders will receive an invoice via email within 48 hours of the auction’s conclusion.

• Total Cost: Your invoice will include the final bid price, the buyer’s premium, and shipping costs.

• Payment Methods: We accept credit cards, bank wires, checks, and cashier's checks.

• Local Pickup: Items may be picked up in person at our Wichita, KS office.

With over 20 years of experience shipping rare maritime equipment and specialized collectibles, we prioritize the safety of your items.

• Carrier: We ship via FedEx with professional packing and full insurance.

• Quality Guarantee: While high-quality packing takes time, it ensures your items arrive in the condition described.

Phone & Absentee Bidding

If you prefer not to bid online, we offer personalized alternatives:

• Live Phone Bidding: Arrange for a staff member to call you during the auction to take your bids live. (Limited spots available—please book early).

• Absentee Bidding: We can execute absentee bids on your behalf. Call and leave us your bids.
